I was able to scan 2 pictures from the photo scanner before I became so frustrated that I gave up and the light source in the scanner washed out the entire picture so it too was of no use. I got it form my mom and it's very easy to use, is fast and fun, we been enjoying iconnvert all my family pictures!!! Ship the frustration and go to a Walgreen's Photto Center.
